Sarah Sidenius is a contemporary abstract artist based in East Lothian & Edinburgh, Scotland. Born in Switzerland to Welsh and Danish parents, she was immersed in art from a young age, with a family interested in the arts.  Any artistic endevour was a hobby in the last 25 years, with the odd class here and there, so she is mostly self-taught.   

No one had seen her work until October 2024. Word of mouth, and a sudden flurry of interest has meant her work is in 4 galleries in the area.   

Sarah's work is deeply influenced by her diverse heritage and life experiences, she has over a decade under her belt as a successful International Instructor for the Healing Arts, she is now the Director of AuraTransformation and also runs powerful courses with her unique Group transformation kinesiology method. 

She sees her artworks as Between Worlds and carrying a Hopeful Optimism. 

Her art is characterised by bold colors, layered textures, falshes of neon, and intuitive mark-making, creating emotionally charged abstract compositions. Sarah finds inspiration in the unexpected hues of nature, the light that breaks through the cracks in pavement, and the resilience of the human spirit to alchemise suffering into new life. Her paintings sometimes echo landscapes, and some feature figures she describes as "guardians" - magical, silent, and compassionate forces of nature and the cosmos, others are purely abstract colourscapes.
